Ted has been in the exhibition industry for over 3 decades across multiple geographies, over half of which have been at Exec level for the likes of GES, Freeman and Dubai World Trade Centre before he joined Messe Frankfurt Middle East in January 2022 as COO, since which his position has evolved into taking the helm of the company as CEO earlier in the year.

Wherever he has been, Ted has always believed that a culture of engagement, sustainable growth for all and togetherness are the driver for success. His appetite to create adventures for all employees being never compromised, this resulting in the development of a winning environment where everyone plays a part in evolving a good business into a great journey for all to enjoy, especially staff but also clients and suppliers.

Commercially, 2023 saw a record year for Messe Frankfurt Middle East driven by incredible performance across all of the show portfolio, something Ted and everyone is incredibly proud of. However, without question the thing that makes Ted and all of our Senior Management the proudest is the winning of the Employer of the Year award across the GCC Events industry, while also achieving “Great Place To Work” status, part of which saw 94% of staff being happy or very happy with their working life via the environment created.

Now in his 50s, Ted’s determination to make Messe Frankfurt Middle East THE employer of great people across the GCC has never been stronger, with his looking forward to making many more amazing memories together in an industry he truly loves for a while yet!
