Paul Jones
Paul has over 25 years’ experience working with agencies in both the public and private sectors supplying and coordinating event technical services. Paul has worked on the technical production of many of the UK largest public sector celebrations in London. These include St Patrick’s Day, St George’s Day, Diwali, Eid and Vaishali. He was the technical supplier for the London Chinese Association for the 2023 Chinese New Year celebrations held in Trafalgar Square.
Other large scale projects include the technical supply and implementation of the Olympic torch relay and Paralympics torch relay across the UK to 70 cities to supporting international tours with Adele. With firsthand experience of working on multiple large scale brand activation for major sportswear manufacturers, Paul has worked with global agencies and across multi agency and multi-platform live events including excellent knowledge of live broadcast technology. He established a production company, Ethix management in 2000 which has a network of business and technical professionals as well as an extensive list of clients; the business has access to some of the best support services in Europe and worldwide.
During the pandemic, Paul set up the UK live event freelancer’s forum offering help and support and the forum continues to grow with over 25,000 members to date. The forum has helped many people who were faced with financial hardship, with help for people need support whether physically or mentally. Partnered with Music support to offer Mental health first aid courses along with addiction recovery workshops and is still a source for people needing help across the events industry.
