Heather has worked in the event industry for over 8 years but hated the amount of waste that was created. Back in 2019 she decided to make her own graphics and stand business, Calluna Graphix, but make it an eco-friendly one. When covid hit and the events industry closed its doors, she found herself surrounded by fabric graphics she had saved from landfill, and decided to turn them into useful items like bags and boxes to give them new life. Calluna Upcycling was born.
With the lack of expos, Heather joined forces with many other businesses, taking in their waste fabric too. She currently has fabric from COP26, Team GB, Shrewsbury BID, and many more!
These days she has 7 sewers on the books to help make her designs, all fantastic women who’ve gained their confidence back by creating brilliant items, to be sold to raise money for charity.
