JW Marriott Cancun Resort & Spa, a luxury resort that unveiled an extensive $40 million room renovation this June, was named the No. 3 Resort in Mexico in the annual Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards.
Condé Nast Traveler is one of the world’s leading travel publications with a total readership of more than three million. The Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards are the longest-running and most prestigious recognition of excellence in the travel industry and are commonly known as “the best of the best of travel.”
This year, more than 600,000 Condé Nast Traveler readers across the globe submitted a recording-breaking number of responses rating their travel experiences to provide a full snapshot of where and how we travel today. The JW Marriott Cancun Resort & Spa, a recipient of the award in the past, continues to increase its position on the esteemed list.
“We continuously seek opportunities to elevate the guest experience, and redesigning our 447 guest rooms was the next phase in our evolution. The renovated interiors draw inspiration from Mexico’s natural beauty and have been incredibly well received by our guests,” said Christopher Calabrese, Vice President and General Manager of the Marriott Cancun Collection. “Earning a top spot on the Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards as one of the premier resorts in Mexico is a true testament to our new look and commitment to providing unparalleled experiences.”
Situated in the heart of Cancun, the JW Marriott Cancun & Spa strikes the perfect balance between modern design and ancient Mayan flair with its 447 ocean-facing guest rooms. Expanded culinary programming for groups, a 150 Margaritas Menu and a renovated Club 91 lounge are among the new offerings designed to meet the expectations of next-generation travelers. Together with sister property, Marriot Cancun Resort – set to debut a new lobby of its own in 2020 – the Marriott Cancun Collection continues to modernize all aspects of the guest experience and set the stage for an unforgettable Mexican retreat.
