The Lifestyle Festival
On August Bank Holiday Monday a surprising new event took place. The Lifestyle Show – the brainchild of MJB Entertainment Group. A small event company with only three members of staff who decided they weren’t going to beaten by the curse of 2020.
With an event industry in tatters, they were inspired by the overwhelming show of support from the local community. Clapping every Thursday for the NHS, watching streets of people coming together to stand united.
“It’s a powerful message that when the entire world is struggling with fear, anxiety and loss, we stood up and supported each other. Something I’ve never witnessed in my lifetime” Bill Blenkarn, Company Owner.
So they decided to give back. The Lifestyle Show -Bucks was aimed at small local independent businesses. Some of which only had online platforms and therefore hit even harder without the financial grants afforded to companies during lockdown.
Having recently partnered with Wycombe Wanderers Football Club their first thought was the huge potential they have there for outdoor events. They decided to put on a show for stallholders to showcase their incredible talents and positioned the show as free entry for the public and free parking.
With the support of local suppliers and sponsors, they produced a well presented, socially distanced event. With one thousand new visitors to the stadium who got to enjoy an array of food stands, locally crafted gin, beautiful handmade creations and luxury goods, the show was a huge success.
A one-way system ensured the public stayed safe and the stallholders enjoyed the footfall from everyone that entered the show.
“Once the show was in full swing, we armed ourselves with £100 and decided to buy as much as we could from the exhibiting stands. It was equally important for us to spend with these businesses as well as giving them a platform to promote themselves” Lauren Bell Event Organiser
“The feedback from the public has been overwhelming. We are so grateful to everyone that came. We are delighted to announce that the Lifestyle Show will be returning for Christmas, so stay tuned for more details!” Lucie Hone Event Organiser.
