During these exceptional times, many industries have been hit hard, especially events, travel and tourism and hospitality. We are having to look at different ways of doing things and one thing that has changed is the way we travel, and where we travel to.
With current government rules meaning that anyone coming into the UK must self-isolate at home for 14 days, this is making both leisure and business travel virtually impossible.
However, we have a solution.
The Channel Islands is exempt from these measures, due to the fact they are part of the British Isles. Although closer to France, St Helier is the most southern city within the UK.
Why would you consider Jersey or Guernsey for either leisure or business including events and conferencing?
Firstly, if you are a British Citizen, you do not need a passport to travel, and although a strong French feel, the currency is Pounds Sterling.
Travel is extremely easy, with most regional airports having regular flights to and from the islands, as well as being connected by sea through fast ferries.
For small islands, they certainly pack a lot into them. For example, Jersey is 9 x 6 miles, but boasts award winning beaches, world famous conservation zoo, historical sites such as castles, forts and a spine tingling salute to the islanders surviving being the only part of the British Isles to be invaded and under German rule.
You can do as little or as much as you want to. Abseil, run, cycle, swim, horse ride, learn to surf, or go on a Seafari and see bottlenose dolphins and seals. Eat in some of the renowned surf and turf restaurants, bars and entertainment venues.
We work with hotels with large or small meeting spaces, so whether team bonding, or a client team meeting or you want to escape and have a holiday, we have all options.
