Designing neuroinclusive events - where to start

We will be seeking to underline to planners the important consideration of neuroinclusive planning at business events, exhibitions, and brand activations.

The session will delve into what the events industry can do to get neuroinclusive planning right and highlight some of the recurrent barriers neurodiverse delegates face when attending events.

The conversation will move on to how organisers should involve neurodivergent voices in the planning process, and how to rethink formats such as registration, plenaries, and breakouts to be more inclusive for all attendees. And with networking being a key driver of event outcomes, the panel will share how to design sessions that are inclusive without losing impact. They will discuss the sensory, environmental, and social adaptations that make the biggest difference to neurodiverse comfort and engagement.

As well as considering cost, the session will explore how venues and suppliers can collaborate with organisers to design sensory-considerate spaces, such as quiet zones or low‑stimulus areas.

The panel will consider what a truly neuroinclusive event looks like and will welcome comments or questions from delegates prior to the event.
