EventWell® is a neurodivergent-led not-for-profit transforming how the events industry approaches wellbeing and accessibility. We design and deliver SensoryCalm™ quiet rooms, Calm Skills sessions, trained hosts and specialist mental health first aid — tailored specifically for busy event environments.
We work with organisers, venues and festivals to reduce overwhelm, prevent burnout and create neuroinclusive spaces where people can work, attend and participate safely. Our approach is practical, evidence-informed and grounded in lived experience.

The CalmHub
The CalmHub is a drop-in wellbeing space created by EventWell® for busy event professionals. Designed for high-stimulus environments, it offers short, practical sessions and quiet reset moments to help people pause, regulate and refocus during the event day.
Calm Skills Lab Live @ Confex
Short, practical wellbeing and neuroinclusion sessions designed for people working in and around events.
Calm Skills Lab Live offers gentle, evidence-informed tools to help you regulate stress, prevent burnout, and support yourself and others in busy event environments.
Each 20–25 minute session is drop-in friendly, requires no sharing or participation, and starts on the hour to allow plenty of space between sessions. You’re welcome to arrive late, leave early, or simply sit and rest.
This is not therapy and not training - just practical skills, shared calmly, for real event life.

DAY ONE - EVENT WELLBEING DAY - WEDNESDAY 25 FEBRUARY

10:00 – 10:25 | Grounding Before the Day Runs Away With You
Events move fast - our nervous systems don’t always keep up. This session offers simple grounding techniques to help you settle, focus, and feel more present before the day gathers pace. Ideal if you’re already feeling wired, distracted, or overstimulated.
Who this is for: Anyone feeling rushed, overstimulated, or mentally scattered at the start of the day.
11:00 – 11:25 | Stress vs Burnout: Know the Difference
Stress is part of events. Burnout isn’t inevitable — but many people miss the early warning signs. This session breaks down the difference between everyday stress and burnout, and shares practical ways to intervene earlier and protect your energy.
Who this is for: Anyone juggling pressure, responsibility, or long event days.
12:00 – 12:25 | Breathing That Actually Works Under Pressure
“Just breathe” isn’t helpful advice when you’re overwhelmed. This session explores simple, functional breathing techniques that genuinely help calm the nervous system — even when you’re on-site, under pressure, or short on time.
Who this is for: Anyone who feels anxious, tense, or short of breath under pressure.
13:00 – 13:25 | Holding It Together On-Site
When things go wrong, emotions run high. This session focuses on staying regulated during busy, high-pressure moments — whether you’re managing people, solving problems, or dealing with unexpected challenges. Practical tools, no performance required.
Who this is for: Event professionals dealing with high-stakes or unpredictable situations.
14:00 – 14:25 | Compassion Fatigue in Events
Caring roles burn out first. If you support others — colleagues, clients, attendees — this session explores compassion fatigue, why it happens, and how to care without carrying everything. Gentle boundary-setting tools included.
Who this is for: Anyone in a people-facing or support role.
15:00 – 15:25 | When You’re Running on Empty
Sometimes the tank really is empty — and pushing harder makes it worse. This session offers low-energy regulation tools for days when motivation is gone, focus is shot, and rest feels out of reach. Permission to downshift included.
Who this is for: Anyone feeling exhausted, foggy, or depleted.
16:00 – 16:25 | End-of-Day Reset & Downshift
Before you rush off to the next thing, this closing session helps you gently downshift and leave calmer than you arrived. Learn how to close the stress cycle and avoid the post-event crash many people experience.
Who this is for: Anyone wanting to end the day feeling steadier and less wired.
DAY TWO - NEURODIVERGENCE IN EVENTS - THURSDAY 26 FEBRUARY

10:00 – 10:25 | Neurodivergent Nervous Systems 101
A practical introduction to neurodivergent nervous systems, including autism and ADHD. This session explains why overwhelm isn’t a choice, why events can be particularly challenging, and how understanding difference - not deficit - changes everything.
Who this is for: Anyone wanting to better understand neurodivergent experiences at events.
11:00 – 11:25 | Spotting Overwhelm Before It Explodes
Overwhelm rarely comes out of nowhere. This session explores early signs of overload in neurodivergent people and how to respond sooner, more gently, and more effectively - before things escalate.
Who this is for: Anyone supporting colleagues, attendees, or themselves in busy spaces.
12:00 – 12:25 | Sensory Regulation in Busy Environments
Noise, lighting, crowds, and constant movement can all take a toll. This session shares realistic sensory regulation strategies that work in real event environments - without needing to leave the venue entirely.
Who this is for: Anyone sensitive to sensory overload or supporting someone who is.
13:00 – 13:25 | Supporting Neurodivergent Colleagues & Attendees
Well-intentioned support can sometimes miss the mark. This session focuses on calm, trauma-informed ways to support neurodivergent people that prioritise choice, dignity, and autonomy - without patronising or overwhelming.
Who this is for: Event professionals, managers, and team leads.
14:00 – 14:25 | Masking, Burnout & Why People Don’t Ask for Help
Many neurodivergent people appear “fine” while struggling internally. This session explores masking, the hidden cost of pushing through, and why people often don’t ask for help - even when support is available.
Who this is for: Neurodivergent attendees and those working to create safer environments.
15:00 – 15:25 | When Someone Is Melting Down (Not Misbehaving)
Meltdowns and shutdowns are stress responses, not bad behaviour. This session explains what’s really happening, what helps in the moment, and what can unintentionally make things worse - with practical de-escalation guidance.
Who this is for: Anyone likely to support distressed or overwhelmed people at events.
16:00 – 16:25 | Neurodivergent Recovery After Events
Neurodivergent recovery often takes longer - and that’s not a failure. This closing session focuses on gentle decompression, post-event recovery, and how to reduce the emotional and physical crash after busy event days.
Who this is for: Neurodivergent people and anyone who feels wiped out after events.
