GH Display choose HVO for its fleet

🌍 As part of our ongoing efforts to operate GH Display as sustainably as possible, we have installed a HVO (hydrotreated vegetable oil) fuel tank at our manufacturing site in Cambridgeshire. Electric vans are not (yet) a realist option for our business, mainly because of the payload we transport, the size of our display structures and the EV range currently available for larger vans.

That said, our current fleet of diesel vans are by far our largest carbon emission contributor, so a huge priority for us, in our ongoing efforts to be the leading Sustainable Event Supplier.

I am excited to announce that our fleet of diesel vans will now be run on HVO.

HVO is made from renewable waste materials like vegetable oils and animal fats. In addition to being a renewable fuel source, HVO can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 90% (in comparison to diesel).

This initiative came out of our staff Sustainability Working Group, which has only been up and running for a few months, but has made a big impact already to the way in which we work at GH Display. Thanks to the GH team involved - it's awesome to see the enthusiasm 👍. Thanks to FESPA UK Association, ESSA and PECT for your advice and support in helping GH Display be kinder to the environment. I'm excited to see what this latest change will do to our carbon emissions 🌍.
