By Air
Manchester Airport is the global gateway to the North of England, and the largest UK airport outside of London, with direct routes to global hubs including Paris, New York, Beijing and Dubai.
By Rail
With direct rail services from across the country, getting to Manchester by train couldn’t be easier. There are direct trains to London every 20 minutes from Manchester, with a journey time of just over 2 hours.
By Road
Manchester is well connected to the rest of the UK via excellent motorway links. The M60 ring road connects the city to motorways north, south, east and west.

The convention centre, Manchester Central, is located in the heart of the city centre in a unique ‘Convention Quarter’, surrounded by the city-centre hotels, attractions and transport hubs.
Free shuttle bus
Delegates can use our free ‘hop on, hop off’ service linking all of the main rail stations, hotels, shopping areas and business districts. There are two routes with buses running regularly throughout the week.
Tram
The Metrolink network is the largest urban tram system in the UK. The tram can transport delegates to popular attractions and venues across the region and, if delegates are planning on sightseeing.
Car parking
Manchester offers park and ride facilities for those looking to drive into the city centre. Manchester Central has onsite parking directly beneath the venue. There are thousands of car parking spaces across the city centre and our partners offer a pre-book service, guaranteeing space before a delegate’s journey begins.
Taxi
Manchester is well served by taxi operators and ride-share services. We work with the city’s black cab drivers to make sure they know when the city will be busy with large conventions and events.
