MAX WIFI LAUNCHES VENUE WIFI SERVICE AT MERMAID CONFERENCE AND EVENTS CENTRE
Leading WiFi and Communications Company for the events industry Max WiFi, announces its newVenue WiFi Service for managed venues with the Mermaid Conference and Events Centre being the first to have it installed.
Using the latest enterprise grade Meraki equipment, Max WiFi has installed a Meraki MX70 Router and 25 Meraki MR16 dual radio access points. The Mermaid can now offer connectivity to devices which communicate on both the 2.4Ghz & 5Ghz radio frequencies so that end users will experience much better connectivity.
In effect, the venue can now offer free WiFi to delegates. The system is fully scalable and can be enhanced as clients demand up to a 100Mb of Internet bandwidth. Indeed, by taking up the Venue WiFi Service, the Mermaid has taken care to future-proof itself.
Richard Hughes, Managing Director of Max WiFi said ‘We have created this service in response to market demand. It means that fixed venues can now tap into decent secured connectivity and offer their clients a fail-safe WiFi solution. There is a running cost to maintain the connection but it doesn’t have to run at full speed all the time. With demand increasing and the Olympics next year, venues will need to up their game if they’re looking to remain relevant in today’s demanding events and conference market. WiFi will be an even hotter topic next year and if venues are not providing a good service their reputations may suffer.’
Head of Public Relation of the Mermaid Conference and Events Centre, Carol Anderson said ‘Having used Max WiFi for a number of events we quickly realised that it made sense to have something permanent installed. Demand from our clients has increased considerably and this is not going to slow down. We realised investing in the future was a necessity not a luxury.’
The newVenue WiFi Service is just that. Not only does Max WiFi install all the relevant fibre optic cables and the latest enterprise grade Meraki access points and routers, Max WiFi will also be on hand to service any incremental services needed and advise clients on technology updates and WiFi demands and trends. Hughes said ‘the relationship aspect is just as important as the installation. We ensure that the client will always be kept fully abreast of developments and will be advised when it is best to upgrade and renew equipment.’
Max WiFi has a reputation for providing fail-safe communications networks and does not gamble with client reputations. All Max WiFi engineers are CISCO certified and trained to the highest level.
