UBM Live has announced the launch of International Outdoor Event Expo
Leading events organiser, UBM Live, a division of UBM plc, has today announced the launch of International Outdoor Event Expo (IOEX), an event created to offer an international showcase for the innovative and world leading UK outdoor events industry. Taking place from 6-8 March 2012, IOEX 2012 will be co-located with International Confex 2012 when it takes place for the first time at its new venue, ExCeL London.
“The UK outdoor events industry has a strong international reputation” said Jonny Sullens, Portfolio Director at UBM Live. “IOEX will attract thousands of event organisers from the growing communities of sports, music, festival and outdoor entertainment while also meeting the needs of the growing live and experiential marketing agencies along with organisers of the traditional county events.
“This new event will clearly benefit from running alongside International Confex which is established as the show for corporate event organisers and features exhibitors from the majority of UK venues, many of whom are also customers for the temporary structure and services industry, along with event service suppliers.”
IOEX will serve the entire spectrum of the outdoor events and event production industry with a dedicated hall alongside Confex, focusing on temporary structures, staging, lighting & AV, graphics, signage & promotion; security & crowd control; attractions & entertainment; furniture & flooring; ticketing & IT; and insurance & medical services.
Benefiting from the support of leading industry associations including Eventia, PSA, NOEA and ESSA, IOEX in combination with International Confex will become a magnet for everyone involved in events – from exhibitions and conferences, corporate events to festivals, sports events to experiential & mobile marketing.

The National Outdoor Events Association (NOEA) has also lent its name in support of this exciting new development for the outdoor events industry President, Richard Limb commented, “NOEA are pleased to offer their support to the new initiative by UBM, organisers of Confex, and wish the show every success in 2012.”
Ensuring exhibitors benefit from a truly international experience IOEX will host 250 of the most important European outdoor event organisers, carefully selected by an event steering group.
In addition to the exhibition, IOEX will also offer a programme of cutting-edge content again complimenting the already established Confex Knowledge series of events, complimentary seminars, workshops and interactive features from the industry’s hardest hitters will ensure that IOEX becomes the must attend event for the industry.
