150 AT THE MAY FAIR NEW WORD IN INDULGENCE COMES TO MAYFAIR
150cl - the measure of a Magnum - is the inspiration for a new champagne experience at the May Fair hotel created in partnership with Moët Hennessy UK.
150 at the May Fair features premium magnums of vintage champagnes paired
with a menu of small plate dining exclusive to 150 from the hotel’s Chef Patron Silvena Rowe.
The Dom Pérignon Vintage Rosé 1998 for 12 guests features four magnums of Dom Pérignon Vintage Rosé 1998 coupled with four canapés for each guest. The menu includes seared diver-caught scallops and Sevruga caviar remoulade; crispy-spiced jumbo prawns with avocado and tahini; West Mersea native oysters with Sevruga caviar and Szechuan button and pomegranate glazed foie gras. Priced at £4,400.The Dom Pérignon Vintage 2000, priced at £2,400, features four magnums of Dom Pérignon Vintage 2000 paired with seared scallop with wild boar crust; cumin crusted halibut on avocado hummus; lobster tail and tropical salsa with cumin flavoured crème fraiche; Ottoman spiced lamb cutlet with coconut and green Harissa.
150 at the May Fair has also conceptualised a number of unique additions for guests to experience including “The Moët & Chandon Experience” which features four magnums of Moët & Chandon Imperial with one magnum personalised with Swarovski Crystals encrusted with the name of the host or main guest. (£650)
The “Belvedere Vodka Infusion Experience” offers two magnums of Belvedere Pure Vodka and a dedicated mixologist for the party all evening who will mix any special preferences in Belvedere Pure cocktails. (£850).
150 at The May Fair is just one of an array of imaginative initiatives introduced by the hotel’s new General Manager, Anthony Lee. “The May Fair has always been a high-profile place to be seen,” said Lee. “The idea behind 150 is to provide an even more exclusive experience by offering magnum bottle service of premium champagne paired with a carefully selected menu by our new chef that can be enjoyed for a celebratory occasion, or by the VIP clientele who regularly stay with us.”
The unique offering of 150 at the May Fair can be experienced individually and in groups up to 36. Early devotees have described it as one of the most enjoyable experiences for the senses from ambiance and style, to sound, taste and pleasure.
150 at the May Fair hosts a comprehensive list of vintage champagnes and is open from 5pm to 11pm Monday to Wednesday and 1am Thursday to Saturday.
