SMART AV GROWN REVENUE PROFIT PEOPLE
SMART AV – NEW FIGURES SHOW GROWTH IN EVERY DIMENSION
October 2011 - Audio visual hire company Smart AV shows how some smaller businesses have thrived even in the disappointing economic climate of the last few years. Initially a small self-starting business; Smart AV have recently revealed new figures which show a significant increase in employee number, turnover and gross profit over the last three years.
Turnover has increased at a percentage of 72% over the last two years from 1.8 to 3.1 million pounds. Similarly, gross profit is now 67% higher than it was in 2009.
Also significant, Smart AV is one of few companies that have continued recruiting against the trend of redundancy and cutbacks. The number of staff has risen from an intimate 9 employees in 2009 to 21 in 2011; not including the large number of freelance and temporary staff employed during busier periods. Recent additions to the team include local graduates and school-leavers, which demonstrates Smart’s commitment to sustainability and reputation as a company that is keen to contribute to its local community. Smart‘s staff expansion will support their large portfolio of clients and will ensure that they continue to be at the top of their industry- not just in the UK but worldwide.
