Grand City Hotels: Grand City Airport Hotel Stuttgart Messe Reopens Following Renovation Work

Stuttgart, January 2012.
- Public areas, lobby, reception, restaurant and 100 rooms redesigned
- Investment in safety and technology - modern fire alarm system and fast W-LAN network
- New restaurant opened: Show kitchen to be installed by the end of February

Right on schedule, the new Grand City Airport Hotel Stuttgart Messe has largely completed its comprehensive renovation work. The facility had joined the Grand City Hotels management company in December of 2011, rebranded and has since been closed for renovation work. The public areas, such as the lobby, the reception and the restaurant along with one hundred of the total 229 rooms were affected by these measures. In addition, investments were made in the safety and technology systems: now the hotel has a modern fire alarm system including smoke detectors in all rooms as well as a fast W-LAN network. “We are pleased to have been able to present the association with our brand in a fresh and appealing new design”, says Tino Bauer, Director of the Grand City Airport Hotel Stuttgart Messe. “The envisioned catering concept in our likewise reopened restaurant may not be quite converted - by the end of February 2012, among other features, a show kitchen should be installed - but the new ‘Living Lobby’ with reception and cocktail lounge are already convincing new features. Noble materials, designer furnishings as well as a fireplace provide a bright, open and lively atmosphere, which invite guests to enjoy small meetings or just relax for a while.”
