BLENHEIM PALACE SELECTS SEARCYS FOR PRESTIGEOUS CONTRACT

BLENHEIM PALACE SELECTS SEARCYS FOR PRESTIGEOUS CONTRACT
10 year deal for up-market catering expert

National treasure Blenheim Palace has joined forces with one of the country’s most respected and established catering companies to continue to drive its reputation.

Blenheim Palace, the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill, will benefit from added expertise and refreshed offerings after appointing up-market caterer Searcys to work with its hospitality division.

The news is another feather in the cap of Searcys, which has built a five star reputation on providing the catering for some of the UK’s most iconic venues including the Hurlingham Club, The Gherkin, The Commonwealth Club and Inner Temple.

Among the new developments Searcys will bring to Blenheim will be one of its trademark Champagne bars, as well as operating the catering for wedding, conference and banqueting guests.

Blenheim Palace chief executive John Hoy is delighted to be working with Searcys, which was established in 1847, and believes that the two will be perfect partners.

He said: “Visitors throughin 2012 will see many exciting changes and we are delighted to have appointed Searcys to ensure that our catering helps us toward the goal of providing Britain’s greatest palace a memorable experience for everyone at Britain’s Greatest Palace.

“You only have to look at the other venues that have placed their trust in Searcys to understand that they provide a guarantee of expertise, understanding and excellence.

“Our visitor numbers continue to increase significantlydramatically and this is one of the investments we have made to ensure that the experience each and every one of those people get is absolutely top class.”

Blenheim Palace now receivesd around 550,000 visitors per year, and Searcys chief executive Doug Tetley says his company cannot wait to help build that further.

“We strongly believe that Searcys strikes a great balance between retaining the traditional values of great service, sourcing and quality whilst adding dynamism and fresh thinking – that is exactly what won us the Blenheim Palace contract.

“Searcys is very proud to work with some of the finest establishments in Great Britain and Blenheim Palace certainly fits into that category.”
