The Next Big Thing Heat 1:

The first live heat of The Next Big Thing took place on 15 December at Event magazine's Christmas party at Jewel Covent Garden.

The Competition got off to a great start with four top quality acts:

George Ides

George Ides is a singer covering classic tracks from Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley to Neil Diamond. 

Kirsty Kirsty Keogh is a singer and guitarist originally from a small town in Tasmania. She is a dedicated performer who is known for her rhythmic feel and adaptation of well known songs. She can adapt her style to suit a band, solo act and varying types of events.
Natalie Natalie Buntting is a 21 year old budding R&B songstress who has gained inspiration from the soothing melodies of New Zealand’s Che Fu, Brooke Fraser, Anika Moa and Bic Runga.
 
Steven Steven Scaffardi is a stand-up comedian and author of comedy novel The Drought.
 


Natalie Buntting and last minute entry comedian Steven Scaffardi wowed the judges and will go through to the semi-finals.      

The Next Big Thing Heat  2:

The second live heat of The Next Big Thing took place at Café de Paris with more than one hundred people casting their votes to decide who goes through to the next round of the industry’s highly anticipated contest
 

Alex Lodge Alex Lodge is an international illusinoist and one of Britain's top Comedy Magician Illusionists.  Alex also has a degree in the magical arts from the magic circle.
Chris Shannon Chris Shannon has emerged as one of the most popular young Cabaret singers on the Northern circuit. His powerful and versatile vocal range makes him suitable to any crowd young and old. Chris Shanon belted out the cabaret classic ‘Cry Me a River’
Iona Thomas Iona  Thomas is one of the UKs most exciting and original unsigned artist at the moment. Being a vocalist, electric harpist and guitarist who performs with a loop pedal Ionas set is one of the most fresh to hit the music scene.
Sam Irwin Sam Irwin (Balance) love to dance, act or model, he spends all his days practising and perfecting  routines and creativity. Sam has something different to bring to the table with his cap tricks and illusions whilst dancing which brings a new style to dance.
Richard Morgan Richard Morgan is a  25 year old  singer/actor and dancer.
Carl Williams PianoFactor Duelling Piano Show is Show-stopping! If you want entertainment that is going to get every person in the room singing and dancing, this is it!
Matthew Crane Matthew Crane is the U.K's Youngest Classical Baritone at the age of 18.
Naomi Lynch Naomi Lynch (aka Firechild) is now turning heads internationally. Having worked with some of the world’s most critically acclaimed contemporary circus companies, corporate agencies and top class nightclubs, this incredible entertainer offers an unparalleled mix of experience and creativity.
Rachel Roberts Rachael Roberts is a charismatic Jazz, Swim and  Soul singer who performs themed shows to suite the client.  Rachael has starred in musicals, variety shows and cabaret reviews all overt the UK.

 

Firechild (Naomi Lynch) and Ioana Thomas wowed the audience and  the judges and will go through to the semi-finals.   

 

The Next Big Thing Heat 3:

The Next Big Thing Heat 3 is taking place at Alphabet City in London's O2 Area on Thursday 16th February.  Further information coming soon...
